We collected our new 6.1 in mid-July. The dealer said the "habitation certificate" was missing, probably went AWOL during the clean by a third-party, and we would get a replacement from VW. Needless to say 2 months later said certificate has not arrived and I enjoy not having to chase the dealer any longer.

Does anyone know what this "certificate" is actually for? Is it something we need when travelling across Europe, or just forget about it? Thank you! :thumb

Do you have a small silver disc on the tailgate L lower side?
If not, that would be the Gas Check disc. Required on German registered vehicles only and has to be renewed every 3? Years. Not required anywhere else.

We have a yearly gas check, for our peace of mind, but don't bother with the habitation cert.

Isn’t that a check on how comfy the bed is?
