Has someone nicked a bit of my Cali?

Hi all. I’ve just noticed what looks like a missing piece of my wiper arm- is there meant to be a gap here? Doesn’t look as though there is and I don’t remember seeing a hole there before.

It's where the water jet is located.

As Larrylamb says, that is a slot in the cover to allow the washer jet to hit the centre of the rear screen while the wiper is operating.

'Tis the same on all Calis and T5/6 vans with rear windows.

Well-timed question S2B. I just noticed this on our Cali this afternoon (only had the thing 18 months) and made my husband panic at first. However, he reassured me that it hadn't been nicked but was a piece of excellent German engineering. Phew!
