I've searched to see if this has been raised before on the forum, but can't see anything. So, we're both heading for the big six five this year. We've had a very good travel and health policy for years with the same company and used it for extended trips of up to two months. But with the big one approaching they limit their overseas trip duration to a few weeks. Does anyone know a good insurer who doesn't impose this limit or who charges a reasonable extra premium. I'm happy to carry a chunky excess as I really only want the cover for major medical costs or medical repatriation. Europe and Australia required.

If you're talking about health insurance for travel we use the BMC (British Mountaineering Council). I'm over 65 and it isn't a problem. Main reason we use them though is that that they will cover snow sports and rescue in mountains abroad which is very costly, especially in winter conditions. Unlimited travel for me and the other half in Europe is around £300 for the year.

Thanks I'll take a look at that one
