Hi everyone we have been meaning to say hello for 3 weeks but have simply been too excited with the new arrival! Daisy was purchased from Lookers Van Centre in Peasmarsh, Guildford from a fabulous (and very patient) gentleman called Peter. He put up with us popping in and out, browsing, asking questions and generally pestering him for over 2 years (its a big purchase!) and was superb from start to finish. A fantastic hand over and we felt confident to go off home and continue the reading. At this point we had also discovered you guys - oh dear two years late but plenty of things to still learn and share thats for sure.
Anyway she has arrived and we are still buzzing. Had a couple of pre-arranged events in Dorset and Suffolk so we went in her but sleeping wasn't an option. This weekend we ticked that box, a stay at Durdle Door, Dorset, with lots of other lovely happy camper folk - so welcoming and up for a chat and compare notes. We are loving every minute and just like an earlier post I read - love just looking at her on the drive.
Think a drive away awning will be great for us so will be looking for all the info we can get from the Cali club folk and hope to meet some of you soon :)

Welcome and plenty to read on here.

Welcome. We have just bought the Vango Kela 111 low air beam drive away awning which we used first time this weekend, a few newbie hitches but otherwise great, we practiced putting up in the garden using the washing line in place of the van. Before this we had the comfortz side panels, which worked ok but you have to take them down each time you want to use the van. As someone on here said before each has their own merit. There are two good videos done by Attwoolls, for the Kela, one in real time another a shortened version. And comfortz have a good one for the panels.

Thank you for the info - will take a look at the videos.
:)
