Hi all
Well the collection of "Plum" from the dealer brings to an end the adventure which is purchasing a Cali. It all started last October when, after months of research and trawling around conversion companies we decided only a Cali would do so off to the dealers to list our options and pay the deposit, now just wait until 1st March" we thought".
January we get a call, good news and bad says the dealer, good first your van has been built, bad news, it's not what you ordered. So we pick up a loan Cali and reorder with different option list.
We are now the proud owners of a.
California Ocean 204 4motion.
Colour blackberry (hence the name).
Roll out awning in black
Alcantara interior
MFSW cruise control and side scan
Heated front screen
Detachable tow bar
Front/rear sensors with camera
6.33 media centre
App connect
Light & vision pack.
It's amazing how many "extra" bits you need to complete your vehicle.
Duvalay mattress
Gas bottle
Ramps
Carpets
Hook up cable
Bike rack
Roof bars
The list could go on, but a least having the loan van gave us a chance to see what we needed,
what other bits have you had to buy as essentials just to get you going?
I cannot thank enough the dealer, Lookers of Newcastle for their handling of a difficult situation and their customer service.
And thank you to all the forum members for the advice and ideas when deciding on the spec.
