I've had my Cali Ocean for 3 months. I've not done much in it, but it's already the best vehicle I've owned. I rented an older VW Camper, which, while romantic, was a pig to drive and struggled in a headwind. The 6.1 Ocean is the most versatile vehicle.

I've transported stuff across the country.
I've made a cup of tea in it after a long walk.
I've "worked from home" in it.
I've carried my bike to a nice part of the country on the back of it.
I've gone to a pub and slept in it in the car park.
I've been to a music festival for 4 days in comfort
and
I have driven a couple of thousand miles.

I can park it in a normal space, turn it around in my small driveway and put up relatives, using it as an extra room. It's comfortable to drive, quiet and peaceful to sleep in.

All this in 3 months, and we hardly use it compared to our other car.

I am not sure I'll ever want a different vehicle. And why doesn't anyone have the nickname Bulli Ocean for theirs?

Random stream of thoughts... What do you love about your Cali?

Had ours for about 8 months, covered 9000 miles, spent a little over 50 nights away - would not have done this in hotels etc., plus our 2 kid’s weddings - acting as the wedding limo for one, and we’ve been to and seen some great places - again, more than we’d see if in hotels / on planes.

Question is always, where next?

So, yes pretty pleased with it so far.

Very good! Ours is now almost half a year old and we've done over 12,000 km with it, half of which are travelling. He is the best for us for that. That's how we like it. Unfortunately, this is also my everyday vehicle and is highly annoying to drive around. Something around the windshield (or the windschield itself?) creaks almost constantly and the rides are therefore irritating; I wish I could experience driving like others but unfortunately this is not the case and the volkswagen products are not what they once were.
I hope for a solution and must stay positive.

I know what you mean. I had a Merc C Class Estate once, and it had a speed related rattle from behind the dash from new until we sold it - despite various attempts by the dealer to silence it. It’s all you can focus on, or select some heavy rock on the stereo ;)

That’s sad to hear, something is wrong, have you spoken to your dealer?

Thx, yes, several times, but they always know better, I mean: they don't know what it could be, or actually: they know for sure what it isn't  Actually, they've kind of given up and aren't really looking for it. Next week he will go into another department of theirs (is a rather large dealer). I have to put my hope in that and although I will pass on my experience and all the info I have already gathered about the cracking, I can already see that they will reject everything. This is their modus operandi, I guess.

Thx, I already did turn up the radio and I can't find it really loud enough to mask the crackling ;)
