Import and insure LHD T6 Cali in Ireland.

Dear all,
about to start a new life in Ireland and wondering if anyone has gone though the same issue of importing a non EU (Swiss) LHD Cali and insuring it. Any insurance company recommendations.

Maybe its better to sell in Swiss and order a Irish one.

Be grateful if anyone has any info.

Not sure if still relevant to you but we just moved to Ireland from U.K. and have imported used Cali (2015) and got vrt exemption saving a significant amount. There are different rules for eu/non eu. Have a look at Vrt.ie. Also we found speaking directly to the Irish revenue extremely helpful.
