I have just fitted some seat waterproof covers from Inka to my 2014 California SE. However I noticed that they have a label on them saying dont fit them to seats with integral airbags. I have integral seat airbags!
So should I remove them and is there a set which will fit seats with airbags.
I initially got the wrong head rest covers from Inka but they are now sorting that out. Have I now got the wrong seat covers as well. I know should have bought from VWCC,!!
On this site Inka covers are advertised as-

"Inka seat covers are fully tested by the MIRA and approved by the Vehicle Certification Agency."

Just what does that mean?

There's lots of us driving around with the standard ordered seat covers from Inka so I would presume there o.k
Isn't there a slit in the cover to allow the air bag access though ?

Theres no slit just a warning label! I did see somewhere a video on how the covers come apart when the airbag is activated but not sure if it applies to the covers on my seats.
I have emailed Inka for an explantion.

I have checked with Inka. My covers are not compatible with seats with integral airbags. They can insert Velcro seams to make them compatible for £19.50. Mine are being returned to them for modification.

I would like to add my experience of Inka. We ordered a full set of covers for our 2021 Cali on 8 November 2021 which arrived about a week later. Whilst the quality was good the fabric colour did not match the colour on the website so we returned them and asked for a different design. The website promised to refund the return carriage but Inka refused. It is now 17 Feb 2022 and the replacement covers arrive today - 3 and a half months after placing the original order! AND they sent the wrong size headrest covers after speficically checking we would receive the smaller type B model. I would echo other people's comments here - items show in stock when they are not. I suspect the covers are made overseas and take ages to come to the UK. Response times to email enquiries are painfully slow and the phone number is not monitored. Truly terrible. I would pay extra and buy from elsewhere.
