I've just put down a deposit on a new Cali and should get it next week. I was trying to sort out insurance today, but it seems because I wanted to park the vehicle at a different address (away from home) for some of the time, then this was a bit of an issue and the company wouldn't insure it! The 'away from home' location isn't a recognised storage yard, it's at a property I own (but don't live in) which has parking space off-road. I was surprised that this was an issue. Has anybody else come across this? It would have scuppered my plan somewhat if I can't get insured to keep it there!

Try other Insurance Companies?
Is this other property empty or occupied?

Welcome , glad we do not have all those diffrent insurance rules in Belgium!

In answer to the "Is it occupied" question, yes it's occupied but we don't rent out the outbuilding that it will be parked next to. Didn't think it would be a problem.

I suggest you either contact s specialist company such as the Caravan and Motorhome Club or Camping and Caravan Club or find a decent Insurance Broker.

There are other companies such as Comfort and Safeguard but judging by some of the comments in other threads they seem a bit picky. The normal car insurance companies won't be interested.

Thanks WelshGas. Yes, it was one of the companies that you suggested might be 'picky', so that was helpful. I'll check with my normal broker in the morning.
