insurance if the pop top is up

help please for a newbie - hope this is not a stupid question BUT

does anyone know if there are any special conditions to look for with insurance quotes for leaving the cali with the top up

eg on a campsite, going to restaurant or sightseeing for a couple of hours

or do people always shut it down when away?

I always leave mine up when camping, for days at a time.

It shouldn't do as the insurers should have factored this in when they determine the risk of damage and theft in their pricing for the quote.

A check of the policy document from your insurance company will show this as an exclusion, though they should highlight this when you ask for a quote. I once had car insurance that sis not cover sunroofs, i did not read this when i got a quote and spent 8 months hoping the sunroof didn't get damaged. I am with comfort insurance and have not seen anything that excludes a claim if the roof is up.
