Hi all had my Cali for 6/7 months now. Going great so far untill we had to use it for couple of short journeys 6 miles to work, as other cars battery had gone.

We had the dpf filter come on we tried to give it big run 45 mins above 60 lower gear. We then had coil light I believe and engine management light come on :’)
Got it booked in next week but wondering if this happen to anyone? Was the garage able to fix it and problem didn’t keep re-occurring? And most importantly. How much roughly did it set you back !?!
(I’m aware break light is on that been done too)

It would be helpful to know how old is the vehicle and milage?

Years ago my 2008 T5 DPF sensor went and engine light came on. The van didn't go into limp mode and my garage was insistent that if it wasn't in limp mode - which I'm told is very noticeable - it must just be the sensor. I tried fuel cleaners, long runs at high revs etc. Nothing worked.

I ran it with the engine light on for 2 years (yes I know) and then got a £40 OBD monitor off Amazon which confirmed a sensor. I bought one for £18 off Ebay and fitted it myself.

Is the van in limp mode? Restricting itself to low revs?
