Is Removing Cali SE bed as easy as the manual suggests ?

Hi
Need to remove the cali bed to pick up a large item ,but is it as easy as the manual suggests ?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

would your large item fit with the bed made up. We have moved some large items on the bed (well covered padded). When VW repaired our bed they had 3 moving/lifting it out

It's pretty easy once you get the rail covers off. Definitely needs at least two people though as it sure is heavy.

Unfortunately item is too big to lay on bed hence needing it removed

Takes at least 2 persons pulling the seat out the verhicle

We removed ours easy enough to remove but very very heavy took 3 of us to man handle it out, i wouldn't do it again though,would just borrow or hire a van

Well everyone was correct
That is one heavy bench seat and it was a struggle for 2
Trouble is everybody has said that was the easy bit getting it out
Might have to sleep on the floor from now on !

If you need to do it regularly perhaps you could build a trolley with matching rails to slide it onto?

if theres just two of you leave it out & use the chairs from the tailgate when parked up?
