Unfortunately we couldn't go abroad, so we haven't been able to test our new BFG winter tyres yet! But camping was fun!

Yes, handy thing! Can also be folded to be used as a barbecue, with a grid on top.

It is one of the campsites of Staatsbosbeheer (National Forestry Trust ???) in The Netherlands. Several are open for winter camping. They are fairly basic (no canteen/restaurant, no swimming pool, no animation team, etc), but that is how we like it.

I often visit Midlaren / Zuidlaren and the ‘bossen’ in that area and also to the south of Assen. Great for cycling and walking, all year round.

Then we can advise the campsite in Borger, one of our favourites as Staatsbosbeheer campsites are concerned. We were there around New Year's Eve this year. Wonderful surroundings.
