Kayak attachments

Hi

We are in the very exciting process of sorting out the specification for our new Ocean California. We would like to be able to transport a kayak on the roof bars and have noticed that you can buy a kayak strap. In the literature we have seen there seems to be a weight restriction of 25 kg and the kayak we would like to get is 29 kg - can anyone advise if we would just need to purchase two straps? Any help would be gratefully received

I use this one:

Use it both an Audi Avant and Cali. It is very easily fixed on a Thule Aeroblade.
When you don't use the carriers, you simply take them off from a side hole in the Aeroblade. Then you can leave the rest on the roof.

I believe the roof limit is 50kg, it is only 25kg if you want to raise the roof?

I have a bic Trinidad which is 29kg so the roof would need to remain down when fixed on.
