I mean you could threaten the legal route as they aren't fit for purpose. Backed up with videos and photos I cannot see how they can wash their hands of it. Particularly when it's affecting seats and headlining. That's the annoying thing @CaliforniaCylus, it is apparently a rare thing and yet VW are washing their hands of any responsibility for it. They are not planning to investigate further and will not cover leakage under their warranty.
Leaks are primarily evident through the horizontal seam below the front fly mesh. The fly mesh acts as a reservoir and enough water tracks through to soak the front seats below.
I was thinking that it would be great to have a zip in waterproof outer for this opening for wet weather as most leaks in an 06s are at this location. I don't want a full bellows cover as we would lose all the wonderful attributes like a fully opening front or use of any of the fly mesh vents.
The vertical seams are all sealed. My 06s is dated 26/10/24 which I would assume was the date of manufacture.
You could point out there is a lot of electronic equipment waiting to be damaged...
Whilst clearly 06S aren't 100 pct fixed you could take it to Kernow transporters and the guy their will replace it for about £1100. Then take VW to the small claims court to recover the £1100.
You can print off the 180 pages of issues here and a few hundred from Germany for good measure...
Think you need to push back.
I'm assuming it's been through several wet and dry cycles as apparently there is some natural material in the cotton now which means small leaks can self seal over time.
