Off to spain soon and realised we are getting there on a sunday when all the supermarkets will be closed... doh...

I know the fridge will run on level 2-3 for a number of days off the batteries, but is it ok to leave on when on the ferry to spain from the UK ?

Yup, no probs........ just run on max for a few hours before you go and perhaps put a couple of freezer blocks in too. Then just turn it down to 1 or 2 and you should be fine :thumb

I left my fridge running on the Santander ferry last week. No problems at all.

Biggest problem is all the alarms going off for the whole journey!

Plug into EHU.before leaving and on Maximum. Possibly put some frozen cooler blocks in as you leave for ferry. Then turn down to Level 3 when travelling and leave On when on Ferry.

Absolutely. The secret with the fridge is to make sure it and its contents are cold before travel. I turn ours on a day before with a few cold blocks in. I make sure everything I put in there is already chilled before replacing the cold blocks with fresh ones and filling the fridge - ice cold tolerant at the back, less so towards the centre of the ‘Van. We keep ours on level 6 (T6 MY 2017) which allows for frequent opening whilst away. Whilst below decks unopened for long period probably less as mentioned above. A min-max digital thermometer is good value (when compared to food poisoning) to figure out what’s the ideal temperature for individual usage.
Bon voyage !

I’ve never had a problem with leaving the fridge on in six journeys to Spain, in fact never even thought about it tbh. The batteries should be fully charged after your journey to the ferry port.
