I think you may be onto something there. Just got out my V5 which states -
Body type = Motor Caravan that seems positive but the Taxation class
Private/Light goods???
Anyhow I will contact DVLA as suggested. Thank you.

We have a petrol beach and it's new enough to be compliant anyway.

Friends had an older diesel beach and they were chargeable until this exemption was applied.

The change of vehicle type can affect your insurance and some people benefit from having a 'van' to just against a business. Do just check out all angles before changing vehicle type.
