London - Alan Day

I am looking for a California specialist in London. My local VW Dealership has a 'van centre', however when I asked them to have a look at the leisure battery they said they weren't sure where it was and that they would charge me £70 to check. I am looking for a dealership or Service Centre that I can trust. Anyone know of anywhere?

Citygate as a group have had some good feedback and they have a branch in Colindale from where at least one member was very satisfied with the service received on sale.

After a very bad experience at a South London Van Centre - was told about "a small scratch" but they didn't notice all the other damage done while in for a service - have just used Alan Day City for a small warranty job.

Not a California centre, but actually received the sort of service I had originally anticipated. Recommended, and I'll use them again. Just outside the congestion zone.

Decent service from Alan Day, City branch; they did what they said they would, on time, sorted the niggling warranty things, and did the necessary communication with VWCS to sort out an issue caused by a previous, different VW dealership. Also kicked off process to get the roof corrosion sorted out. No fuss at all, and they do seem to take care of the thing.

Recommended.

Made an online booking for a service. When they didn't call to confirm I called them the day before to be told there was no booking and they didn't provide a courtesy vehicle despite saying they did on the website. No apology and person on the phone was very abrupt and rude and then just hung up on me.
