Long arm of the bike rack

Hi all

has anyone else had a problem with the long arm of the bike rack falling back on to the rear window and stopping the windscreen wiper working properly. I am sure a strap would work to tie it back - just wondered what other people have done. I have spotted quite a few Cali's with this issue when the bike rack isn't being used. I have tried tighting the fixing but it looks like its friction doesn't overcome the leverage on the arm so to speak.

I keep the bike rack arms in the boot.

Not yet.....i do tighten them up though so they take some force to move.

I spin them round so the rubber jaws are lodged in the wheel tracks of the rack. That seems to wedge them in place and keep them clear of the wiper.
