Munich Campsites

Hi

Does anybody know of any decent campsites near or in Munich. All of the ones I can see on the net are all 1 star and even with my ropy German I can see that the reviews are hardly positive.

It will be worth it when you find a good campsite.

Munich is one of my favourite German city's.

If you have not already been the Deutsches Museum is well worth a look.

Not stayed in Munich, but the German tourist board book for campsites lists Campingplatz Obermenzing as a large four star site. Hedges between pitches and bus stop near the site, train and underground connections also close by.

Totally endorse the Deutsches Museum recommendation. Spent around four hours there one day and could have spent another four. Absolutely world class.

Thanks guys for the museum recommendations. On the campsites I reckon we are going to look for one out of town and drive in... benefits of da van!
