The older Volkswagens have survived the test of time because they were basic and reliable.
I wonder which of the T5 & 6s we will see driving around 20 years from now...?
A lot of the posh, plusher items don’t make camping any better. It’s just satisfies the need for a more luxurious driving experience and the guy down the pub who needs something bigger and better than his next door neighbor.
Read on Facebook about a lady who had a DSG fail, a couple of weeks out of warranty and a £6500 bill.
It wouldn’t cost half that for a manual replacement.
all good points and have me thinking again now. I was in a ocean and a 2015 se recently and just loved them
Ignore the sticker price, we got the equivalent of 10% off our Ocean. You would probably need to go for a stock model though ...I have a Beach and we were looking at upgrading to the Ocean, but just can't afford the spec I want. So I think we will end up on the Dark Side with a Marco Polo for £10K less than the same spec Ocean.
I love the VW brand and have been a camper van for a long time, but the prices are just getting ridiculous IMO...
The simpler the better, though It's harder to follow that mantra when looking at the options list!
I was in Coventry Listers waiting for my beach and did have a sneaky look in the Ocean there, I have pondered of late changing from Beach to Ocean.
I think I had forgotten how small a dedicated camper can be inside, as I was quite taken aback at how much space that cupboard and kitchen eats up compared with the beach. I think if we didnt have pets or I was alone I might get an ocean.
Yeah pondering getting the lower half of mine wrapped to look similar, was quite a subtle two tone, I liked it
