New Ocean

Buy some foam block (the type used for storing figurines in a case). Cut it into blocks to fit the sections in your cutlery draw, then cut a slot for each knife/fork/spoon). No rattles and definitely worth the effort. Also buy non-slip matting for the cupboards.
Like that tip. How did you stop the table rattling?
A full set of carpets and seat covers.
Easily cleaned and still looking good after 3 years 32k miles about 8k camping use.

New Ocean on Sept 1st- first time campervaner. Two adults one child. If you could give me one tip what would it be? Thanks in advance.
Buy a small pop up tent (from Decathlon). When you get to where you're going, pop it up and put all the stuff in the boot in it, your child car seat and other clutter.

Tie “something” colorful to the steering wheel if you are all set. At the moment you start your engine to drive off, the “something” will remind you to check if you haven’t forgotten anything. Electric cable still attached, the washing line, your wife/child… You name it..:upsidedown

The ‘stuff’ is the issue. I remember when we hired a Cali before buying our first Ocean. Park up, roof up, spin chairs, awning out, sat outside with a cold beer 5 minutes later. That was a major appeal of it to me. Now we have toppers, loo tents etc etc, then the reverse to pack it all up. I’m seriously thinking a 540 / 600 Hymer or Knaus is the answer to give us back the ability to tour without all the faff.
Me too. Hymer or Pilote, but hoping to retire early within the next 8 months so thinking of something we can be totally self contained in over a few months and although I still miss our Cali I think we will be going down a different route as a fixed bed and bathroom really appeal. :(

Same situation. The world has changed and isn’t going back. We want a fixed bed and bathroom for doing any proper touring. The Hymer Free with the pop top is perfect for this.
