New Owner 2012 Cali, leisure battery question

OK, after another test of a 48 hour charge and just the fridge running, the Cali didn't make 24 hours before the fridge turned itself off at 11V. I've taken the plunge and ordered 2 new batteries from Ebay (thanks to a link on here). Whilst the rear battery looks easy the front doesn't, can someone confirm whether the seat should be swivelled to the rear and then slid forward or facing forward to get best access and whether its easiest to unbolt the rear rails or do i need to remove the seat base (and how do I do that)
