New T4 Westfalia Side Awning Query

Not awning related but are those genuine vinyls on the B and C posts? We have them on ours but they need a refresh. Given you had a repaint recently I figure costs/suppliers will be fresh in your mind.

Hi,
Not genuine, bought from eBay...
Not sure if this was the seller I got them from, but something like these:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/183254625153
They were a bit fiddly to fit but I think worth the effort. They're a nice finishing touch...

Be sure to order the right set though (relating to the side sliding door)

Was it a windows out job to fit them? Our current ones, fitted by the previous owner were fitted windows in so now the edges are starting to show their age.

Its a fiddly job, but i didn't take out the windows. Just on the doors I pulled the rubbers around the windows.
I found this video useful to follow:
Use of soapy water, feeler gauges, a heat gun and lots of patience. Set yourself plenty of time and don't rush it.

Hope it helps :thumb

Hi all just an update fitted the awning fine, as stated previously fixing holes do not line up where the brackets seem to fit best i.e. on front door pillar and equal distance form back of van. Had to drill new holes and metal tape the preformed up to stop any water ingress but all works fine. Thanks for all the help.
