I have been a member for a number of years but I have been in suspended animation until I got another California, which I did a couple of months ago.

It is my third. with a gap of about 3 or 4 years since the last one.

I now have a 2012 California with a DSG gearbox, four wheel drive, cassette awning, cycle carrier, tow bar, etc, Drives nicely, a bit under powered but I have to remind myself I am in a van and not a sports car.

I have just returned froma 2200 mile trip around France, but apart from 2 nights, stayed in hotels (booked before I bought the van). Great for lunch stops and 2 nights on the Somme.

We are off to North wales in a month (2 nights in an hotel - Christmas present from our 2 sons), then off to Cape Wrath, rough camping en-route. Looking forward to that.
