Good afternoon Hivemind
I'm hoping the collective wisdom of this esteemed gathering (is the flattery working?) will be able to shed some light on my problem.
I have a beast of an eFatBike. 4.5" tyres, step thru frame and weighing in at 39kg. I'd obviously like to transport it with my T6.1 California. The issue I'm finding with most of the regular recommended products (Thule, Atero...) is that they state a 30kg bike limit even is the carrier is rated higher. Therein lies my query. Can I load the 39kg bike onto the bike carrier if I do not put any other cycles? My wife's trike folds and can ride inside the Cali.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a beast carrier?
Occasionally I want to tow my camping trailer and therefore will need to use the towball. I am also looking to mount a carrier to the trailer. This I will achieve by using some box section and then mounting any carrier onto that, eg. Thule 598. That's where I hit a similar issue. Any carrier I can find, even with the FatBike conversion kits, is not rated high enough.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks.
