Oil and fuel

So before I came away this time I serviced the bus. Only minor so oil and filters.

Normally I just use semi-synthetic to VW spec etc.

This time the guy in the shop gave me fully synthetic by error.

I always run super-diesel as it’s a night and day difference.
I filled up with Avia Super diesel (or whatever they call it) the other day.

Wow!! The van is super smith and goes like a train.
Perhaps the older tech responds better to different fuels/oils?

I filled up with super diesel in my golf this week. Figured it’s doing hardly any miles since COVID so maybe it’ll help. I can feel a difference immediately. Feels smoother and powerful. Pricey though!

We used this in our old T4 with 'standard' diesel, seemed smoother over time & mpg improved by about 50miles on a tank:
