Cannot believe 6 months have passed since we took delivery of our ex-demo Ocean, we absolutely love it and are so glad we did not settle for one of the conversions. It was always intended to be a family asset for our millennial offspring to enjoy driving too, but with us being retired we have enjoyed the lion’s share of the fun, including excursions on folding bikes we store on the rear shelf. I know you like photos so have attached two of the brilliant wooden ladder my husband made to give us easy access to the roof bed (happy to measure the ladder and share dimensions if of interest). On the move, the ladder slides neatly on the floor, through the tailgate, slightly extending past the ‘load through hatch’, on the left hand side.

Here is where our Cali has travelled in those first 6 months:-
Dorset, Exmoor, South Wales, Lake District, Scotland (including Skye and Harris), Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, New Forest, Norfolk, Norwich and Cambridge. There are so many great places to visit in the UK; the wish list seems to get longer each week. Found the National Trust App which identifies places of interest near current location is great for breaking long journeys.

Looks and sounds great! :thumb

Think we're going to have to look to build a ladder!!

Hi again, just measured the ladder and hope the following helps:-
Height - 1550
Width - 360 (outside to outside)
The timber used for both the uprights and the treads is 70 x 20 planed finish. We then painted it to match Cali interior using what was left over in a tin.
There is a plastic angle bead at the top with a section of pipe lagging over it which allows it to rest comfortably on the ledge. No instructions available but you could try Google.
