plastic instead of net in canvas??

Hello,
Has anyone found a way of having one of the pop top 'windows' unzipped without getting wet?
I hired a converted T6 before buying my California and one of the windows was plastic and let in so much light whatever the weather. I would like to try and make it so that I can have the front one unzipped in bad weather.

In bad weather a topper is put on witch has transparant windows so you can unzip all the windows as you wish .
