We got a better price on a T5 Conversion than the original converter could offer!

Guy knows his stuff - a quietly confident kind of guy - the very opposite of the usual blustering "sales executive".

Parts department also very helpful.

Just bought our Cali from them.

After a slight wobble with a rathe low p/x offer (we got £2k more down here non p/x to a dealer) for our 110, we piled on a bit of pressure, and got a very good deal IMO.

Guy was very professional, did a great handover and was very patient with our rather demanding purchasing technique! Threw in some extras, discounted more off an already good price and definitely knows his stuff.

The boss's son, who picked me up from Manchester Airport is also a very nice chap!

I have been very impressed with the Preston centre. I live 160 miles away, but phoned up on spec to chat about a couple of vehicles on their website. Tom (not their dedicated Cali specialist) has been tremendously helpful and I would think strongly about putting my business their way.

Having read KernowLad's posts, they obvioulsy ticked enough boxes for them to make the trip up.

As our quest to reach Cali world draws ever nearer, myself and t'wife want to find a good supportive dealership.
We don't mind travelling a wee bit (based in Leeds) and would prefer to buy from a Dealer that knows their stuff !

On our list Liverpool,Sheffield,leicester..any others ?

Ideally a dealership that can do a good deal and provide support if little/big things go wrong.

Hi Dan,

We've just bought an ex demo beach from Preston and were happy with the service.
Haven't had any experience of the service team yet.
The Cali salesman there is Guy and he seemed pretty knowledgable on the Beach but wasn't aware of new seat fabric or hook up which surprised me.

If you do your research on here you'll find loads of answers. Far better than the salesmen from the dealerships I found.

Liverpool weren't bad either but weren't open to any negotiations.

So far so good with my dealings with Sheffiekd Van Centre. Handover was good and warranty work carried out without fuss. Taken over by JCT600 recently but no complaints yet.

Try VW Preston

The California specialist Guy Vincent knows his stuff. He will get you through all the options and errors in the sales brochure! The service staff Keith and Dave will see you right. Like most facelift owners I have had the blistering paint problem on the roof panel above the front windscreen and they have kept me upto date with the response by VW.

Hi, we are just North of Leeds and got ours from the Preston dealership. They were fantastic, we dealt with Guy and it was a great experience. It may sound like a long way but the drive is nice and easy. Probably just too far for repairs etc though.

Another vote for Preston! Guy was excellent and so are the chaps in the service dept. No quibbles at all re warranty claims - including replacement roof canvas following me slicing it and sorting the roof corrosion issue.

remember you can buy any van from vw and you can get serviced and warranty work done at any dealers, we travelled to get our pre registered Cali but work and service done closer to hame with a dealer we are happy with

We would like to recommend VW Manchester.
The man in charge of selling Californias has one himself and knows all the ins and outs of them and his handover is excellent. His name is Alan Jackson.
The service department is excellent and we have had all our warranty work done there including work done free of charge out of warranty as the problem was diagnosed during the warranty
period.
Also their hot chocolate is very nice!

We picked up our new SE 180 4-Motion from Guy at Preston VW Van Centre a couple of days ago. First class dealership, and Guy is very knowledgeable. They also offered me the best price (negotiated with 2 other California specialists).
My local van centre in West Yorkshire has also been excellent in the past. I will be happy to use either one for servicing.
