Much as Id like to get into a debate with you jo ho ho regarding your disagreement but its not worth it TBH.

Just to say I come from Wakefield which was I think in Yorkshire, I lived in a mining community and was greeted by the old guys regularly by "A up happen". Now I don't know much about much, but when you meet someone normally that's a Hello so to me that's what it means. The old miners used to call each other love as well but that's for another debate. I moved to Huddersfield, and A up meant the same there as well.

Regarding the happen bit, a few old lads used to add that from time to time.

Now living in Derbyshire, people here greet each other with "A up me duck" very strange.
