Hi there,

I am not really a beginner anymore, as we did a 6000 km/5 week family of four trip in the summer - with two little kids. Surviving that, must qualify me as being at least one step over entry level :)

Anyway, love the car but I have a small problem with hooking up the gas bottle.

I have attached a picture with the R907 Campingaz bottle (the one the manual calls for) and the California's gas pipe... they just don't fit!

Does anybody know where I can get some kind of little converter to screw into the bottle - or anything else that will make it possible to hook up the R907 bottle and subsequently use the cookers?

Thanks in advance :)

Best regards,

Michael

Was it new? If so, go back and ask VW for one - it should have come with it!

Nope... used. 2006, with 200 000 km on the clock and I got it in Germany - so won't be going back there for a while ;-)

Anyway, if it's just a little part they have at VW, I'll just go and buy one - before the American lawsuit bankrupts them ;-)

Thanks!

almost the same problem.
You need a tap and a safety valve....one who sells campinggas botles normally also sels these parts...if not go to a campershop with your gas botle and ask for the parts.

When bought new i feel this parts must be standard....
If bought 2nd hand at least the seller must give you intel....
