Viewing a California Ocean at a VW dealership on Saturday, it may have been standing a while, when the sliding door was opened a quantity of water cascaded out on to the forecourt off the living area step. The interior was fresh, not at all musty but on examination the lower part of the door rubber seal was wet for about 3"so the water had appeared to accumulate above the seal.I don't think it would be normal for water to collect there. Where might a problem lie? Thanks in anticipation.

Door not properly closed is the most likely cause.

Agree, and probably jet washed as well.

If it's been standing for awhile it might be the sliding window in the door.

It could be but I think any leaking of the sliding window drains below the internal door seal. I could be wrong on this as it could be a question of volume. The window drain holes are really small!

If the door wasn’t properly closed the water would have leaked out!

If you go back again to see it, check under the sink on top
of the waste water tank.
Sometimes the sliding window seals leak and that is where
you will spot it first.

Thanks to all who replied. We pick up our California next Thursday.
