Rear Window Heating/Demisting

Bought a new Cali 24Y Ocean two months ago. This morning. I looked for the rear window demist control button but discovered there isn’t one! Just had not noticed this before today. Looked in the Owners Manual and it says on page 108 that there should be rear window heating. Can any more experienced Cali owners give me some advice please. The windscreen and side mirrors are heated but not, it would appear the rear window. Is this a build omission I wonder? Thanks. J.

Because the rear window on T6.1 Ocean is double glazed they can't install a heating element. Time to get your scraper out!

The Handbook covers all variations and is not vehicle specific.
If you have the Double Glazing Option then you won't have Rear Window Heating.
You can check the Build Codes on a sticker to be found on Drivers Seat Base or Lower Dashboard or front of Handbook.

I was told that you can’t have the demister with the acoustic glass option. Do you have acoustic glass?
Tbh you can’t see much out of the rear window at the best of times.
If you really want to check on the path of destruction that you have left behind perhaps you could pop into reverse every few hundred yards to engage the rear view camera?

Yes. End of line so it was built as it was.

Thanks. The Cali is one of the last 6.1 specification. It was built to a standard main dealer specification. Hence, I bought what was available because I certainly did not want the new Cali based on the Multivan chassis.
