My side opens every time with key fob but at the moment it won't close with the key fob seems very temperamental I'm having to jump in and close it from the dash as I don't like closing it manually

Anyone else had this issue

Can you not close it using either the interior or exterior handles? Maybe the battery in the remote needs changing?

Yeah I can close it manually and open it manually and the remote does open it just doesn't react when I want to close it by remote

Do you have more than one remote? If so, have you tried the other one?

Been done a few weeks ago at vw Liverpool nothing showed up

Everything works opening it but not closing it however the dash button works both
Just humour me, try holding the Close Button whilst closing the Door manually, not using the dash button.

I had an issue with my automatic door after recent visit to dealer it would open ok and only close half way and then open again
I found that if you push the button or just lift the open handle and let the door open and close its self then it works every time if you try and open it like a normal door quicker then it throws a wobbly
Look at it as an automatic door and it takes time to open and close , I think its operated using a rubber toothed belt unless someone tells me different and pushing door quicker than the motor can upset the limits stops.

Not sure how to reset the door stops guess it may be software

It's operated by a steel cable located behind the long panel beneath the window, above the middle runner. There's a recent thread and video showing how to replace the cable.
The sensitivity of the safety "bounce back" can be adjusted, as you say through the software, by VW.
