Rip-off water pump fitting

Feel like crying, just paid £293 (yes, I am an idiot, I didn't ask for a quote first) to local VW camper specialist (??!) to change drinking water pump. Went to add some cleaning tablets to the tank afterwards, and they've used a £12 pump from Halfords, which doesn't even fit properly, so they've attached it with insulating tape, which has already started to break up and contaminate the water.

Yep we all make errors. I would complain. Was this a main VW .dealer
