Romania Bound

Having had a great few years exploring Ireland and NW Scotland in our Cali we are moving to Romania. Does anyone have any experience of vanning in Romania and the surrounding areas?

Yes I do.....I dropped down from the North in late 2011 and spent about 6 weeks there in my Cali....then dropped South into Bulgaria.

Often free camped and felt perfectly safe. Even parked in a car park close to Revolution square in Bucharest and slept a few nights, once again felt safe. Lovely country and very hospitable people. Camp sites thin on the ground.

One point DONT drive in the dark due to the amount of unlit horse and carts on the roads.
