Sanef toll tag - low battery beep tone

So the tone has changed when passing through the barrier, is this perhaps a low battery warning?

No idea, but i have had my tag for eight years and battery or unit not replaced, i was also wondering how long they last.?

Ummm, the life must be 4 years since activation then, as Loz's is 5 years and mine's 4 and also saying near expiry.

I'm going to switch to an APRR "offre topEurope" one anyway as it's cheaper, covers Spain and Italy and they bill in Eur without Sanef's rubbish £/Eur exch rate.

Out first one conked out after three years. Latest one which is slot smaller still going strong after five years.

My first one lasted 5 + years. As it is a sealed unit, and probably recycled if returned and still working how long it will last is probably related to the manufacturing date rather than how long you have had it in your pocession.
