Sat Nav: Cali has been wrapped and now is lost!

Dear Friends,

I have just had my lovely Cali 2018 wrapped with work branding (will post pics)....now the Sat Nav does not work.

Initially it was a few roads out.....but this magnified with distance....when in Putney, it was telling me I was in Winchester.

I have tried holding the power button on the console, and removing the card...but it still thinks I am somewhere else.

Any help greatly appreciatred.

Is the wrap metallic?
Did they wrap the wing mirrors? (the GPS antenna is in the wing mirror.)

Yes...they did. That must be it....which wing mirror is the GPS housed in...I had presumed it was in the front screen/rear view mirror?

Sounds like your GPS antenna has been damaged or failed

I had a GPS antenna failure, symptoms same as you mention, sorted after changing Antenna in wing mirror

Satnavsystems chertsey will be able to assist

Some folk replace the gps antenna and put it under the plastic dash should work under there too.

That's what I have done Matt. About a tenner off eBay. Works best sat on top of the dash just in front of the screen. Just plugs into the back of the head unit in place of the VW one. Seems to be a much better signal.
