Schoolboy error......!

We've made a schoolboy error and planned a few days in Cornwall over new year in the Cali, but weather is going to be pretty poor.

We should have thought more carefully and jumped in the van on Saturday 22nd and headed to the south of France for the week.

Unfortunately, looking at maps, euro tunnel, travel distances and the need to be back at work on 2nd jan, coupled with arrangements now in place to visit family we don't have enough time to make the trip at this late stage in the xmas holiday week.

We won't make that mistake again

You never know weather you are going to get. Often Cornwall can be at its most dramatic in when there is weather, leading to some amazing beach walks. Take a decent coat and boots and enjoy!

It's fine, Cali is snug with the Pucer and Taylor screens on. Padstow very wet and windy, but done 2 longs walks in past two days. Mains heater as on hook up.

Have noticed that you can park opposite Steins fish n chip shop for £1.20 for 24 hours and be right at the start of the Camel Trail.....will sleep there for a couple of nights in January......

Enjoy Cornwall. French Med isn't forecast to be above 12 degrees all week, so you certainly wouldn't be sunbathing. It does look a bit drier and less windy though! I'm sure you've made the right call
