I recently noticed that the microswitch for the light on the rear wardrobe has a really sharp edge. The dealer says this is normal but it would be easy to cut yourself or rip a down jacket pulling it in and out of the door.

Any ideas? Seems a poor design if it is.

It’s a rubbish switch. We catch stuff on it all the time, then it bends and the light stays on..

we catch stuff on it all the time. bent it backwards once and couldn't understand why the light was staying on.

yep, not great design

I thought it was just our van, and that were missing a cover over it!

I put a small piece of duct tape over the sharp bit, loose enough for the spring switch to still work. Needs to be changed from time to time. Stops the problem for us.

and I thought only I had to pull the whole mechanism forward each time before closing the door to ensure that the light switches off. Did not bother to check ... but always have wanted to change that funny switch to something that works each time.
