I had searched a lot & asked Autobrands, with no luck.

There does not seem to be any risk of harming corrosion resistance.

On the other hand, the bracketry & bolts & attachment points don't look anything like as robust as the bars look!
Is that the way the VW items fit too?

Still, so long as they give a bit of protection against light parking scrapes.

Just looking at how to maybe reduce the £41 shipping charge to France now...

Paint finish on brackets is not good, it has peeled off one of mine ! Needs re-powder coating.

Mine did not come with locking nuts, don't know about others. I found some to use on mine. Also used locktite on all the bolts.
