evening all just having a Sloe Gin merry Christmas all.

Anyway after seeing lots of pictures of your vans with the canopy out I notice that they are angled towards the van, should it not slant away from the vehicle for water run off?

Correct, and front to rear as well as properly tensioned against guy ropes.
