Sliding cookware

We're thinking of replacing our Trangia camping stove set, which we've been using for a couple of years, because the kettle and saucepans slide off the gas burners if the Cali isn't completely level. Does anyone else have this problem, and do the cookware kits and collapsible kettles for sale in the Shop not slide about?

Hi , seems you been dealing with the sliding pots and pans for more than two years now...;)

Hope no accidents accured since.

I have not seen anti-slip mats for pots/pans that are fireproof so either you level the verhicle a bit or use a outside burner if not possible to level-up.
Part of the campingexperience i guess.

Certainly have had one or two near misses, and the occasional minor scalded hand. Have decided however that due to a new arrival risk needs to be eliminated. Hard to believe that no-one else seems to have this problem...

I have not had issue with folding kettle as in shop (we do not level the van).

I find not driving and cooking at the same time helps :headbang .

More seriously, I've not yet found it a problem - but I don't have little ones in the van. I guess we could learn from our yachting friends. Boat cookers have gimbals and pan clamps. Gimbals may be going a bit far (and not teribly realistic with the Cali kitchen unit) but it may be possible to modify some pan clamps such as these.

These are the cheapest ones that I could find. If you think Cali accessories are expensive try yachting :Nailbiting.

Good luck. Let us know if you try something like this.
