Solar in frost and snow

Hi,
Any ideas how solar panels cope with winter frost and snow? I have a 100w kit from solarcampersolutions that I installed earlier in the spring, but wondered if it should be taken off for the winter months. Not too much snow here on the west coast of norway, but often frost and minus degrees at night through the winter months.

Shouldn't be a problem. Do houses with solar panels take them down in the winter?

Mine is from the same source and was not damaged over a winter in northern Scandinavia. It didn’t generate too much power during that period though.

Ours didn't work either under a foot of snow but never taken it off.

This was in your part of the world; Å in March. I did two winters in Norway, one with a solar panel on the roof or roof box. I would brush off the snow in the morning and get a little power from the sun, but not much.

Yes, it’s a Mavic Air, that fits in a large pocket. It enabled some amazing perspectives in the rather photogenic Norway. I’d highly recommend something like it.

As for the panels - they should be fine - but if I were somewhere that went well below zero a lot, I might think about bringing it in of not needed - just to reduce wear from contraction and expansion. Just guessing mind you.
