Picked up my van yesterday and having a good nose round found the spare is a different size. Wheels are 215/65/16 with Bridgestone tyres while the spare is 205/65/16 with a continental tyre. Should the spare be the same as the wheels (on a steel rim). It's an ex demo with delivery mileage so should be "as new". I know the dealer took the spare off to stop it walking as am wondering if the put the wrong one back on.

We have 17" thunder alloys, the spare tyre is the same as the other 4, albeit on a steel wheel...

Dealer has replace it with the correct size

Mine doesn't have a spare, it comes with a VW tyre inflator and a bottle of goo! Does anyone else have this arrangement?

I believe some calis don't have a spare - the berghaus did not. While they are easy to nick (unless extra is spent) I think you are better off with one as the goo will not work in all situations and a lot of fitter refuse to fix tyres that have been gooed.
