Hello all.
I'm interested in finding out the thread and pitch size of the bolts securing the spare wheel carrier in place. From eye it looks to be about an M12 x 1.5 pitch, but I can't be sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Chris.

Stick a spanner/socket on it. The spanner size will tell you the thread size.

Clever money is on 1.5.

Did a bit of careful measuring and your "clever money" is correct.
As a matter of interest, an M12 socket is a 18mm AF. Strangely, in this case (spare wheel carrier bolt) that does not fit, but a 19mm AF does. Hmmm.

DIN standard bolts...
Diameter (d)PitchAcross Flats (s)
M81.25mm13mm
M101.5mm17mm
M121.75mm19mm
M142mm22mm

But the bolts for the spare wheel carrier are both special part numbers NOT standard ones. Their length varies dependant on the tyre size that the carrier was fitted for. However I am reasonably sure the thread on both are DIN standard.

You don't get a 19mm AF (American Fine is Imperial)

All spec on long bolt on this item
