Spongy between front seats?!!!!

Only just noticed, but the floor space between the two front seats appears a little spongy! Any thoughts on this?

Standard. Nothing to worry about. There are some threads with mention of it somewhere.

Yeah. I think it feels worse than it is. I just try not to hang around there or trampoline on it!

You can jump up and down on it as much as you want . Under the carpet is a thick section of underlay with channels cut into the underside to cover and protect wires that go between the 2 front seat basis. There is a solid metal floor below that.
