Hello. Picking up our Cali on Friday. It has suddenly dawned on me that I currently only have the dealers word it is a 180 BiTDI. Is there any way of telling the 140 & 180 apart? I'm guessing it will be in the V5? The order form only says blue California with the reg. Me being over cautious but I'm curious now. Regards Shane

Bigger brakes.

You will also notice when you put your foot down and it flies along.

If it feels underpowered you know they have conned you with a 140

They both have TDi on the boot lid, but the 180 has a Red "Di", the 140 has a Red "i" - if all the letters are silver then it is lower than a 140.

Would not give me the greatest confidence in the "sales" person doing the paper work, I would asked them to give full details on your invoice and update before you make the payment -- surely there should be a difference between "Arthur's car lot" and a VW main dealer re how honest they are.

180's have a minimum wheel size of 17" due to bigger brakes. If they are smaller it's not a 180. As said before red 'DI' in TDI

Thanks all for your answers

If your front tyres have any tread left after you've got home, it's a 140 ;)
