Received an e-mail this morning relating to a 'new' standby mode at £4.50 per month with unlimited low-speed data

'We’re reaching out to let you know the Pause feature on your plan has been updated. Pause now includes Standby Mode, which comes with unlimited low-speed data for GBP 4.50 per month, perfect for backup connectivity and emergency use. These updates will take effect in 30 days. All of your other plan features remain the same. You are able to cancel your service at any time for no charge. If you have questions, please see our FAQs or Terms of Service.'

Unlimited data has potential but it will be interesting to see what low-speed actually means......

Once you use up the 5GB of high speed data the speed drops to 500Kbps. Only useful for emergency phone connectivity and not much else.

About to get Starlink (full fat) for my cottage, I see they offer £300 off if you do 12mth subscription now.
Excluded some areas.
Anyone seen a better new price than £299 John Lewis and curry’s are doing.
